Abstract:

The present invention provides compositions and methods for effective treatment of a lysosomal acid lipase deficiency (LALD) disease, in particular, Wolman's disease and Cholesteryl Ester Storage Disease (CESD). Among other things, the present invention provides a method of treating developmental impairment or malnutrition in an individual suffering from a lysosomal acid lipase deficiency (LALD) disease, comprising administering to the individual a therapeutic effective amount of a lysosomal acid lipase.

Abstract:

A tool holder in which a clamping element is integral with the tool body and movable into clamping and unclamping positions by simple screw or other adjustment. In one embodiment the tool holder comprises an elongated metal body having a mounting portion adapted for attachment to a machine and a forward end operative to retain a cutting tool thereon. The forward end includes an elongated clamping element integral with the body and space therefrom to provide a recess into which a tool bit is insertable. A set screw or other actuating element is cooperative with a portion of the elongated element and the body to cause flecture of the web portion and movement of the elongated element toward the confronting surface of the body to clamp a tool bit into position.

Abstract:

Methods of treating B-bradykinin receptor mediated angioedema in a subject by administering a composition containing a 8-(heteroarylmethoxy)quinolone compound, a 8-(arylmethoxy)quinoline compound, or a salt, a stereoisomer, a hydrate, or a solvate thereof. Oral formulations containing a 8-(heteroarylmethoxy)quinolone compound, a 8-(arylmethoxy)quinoline compound, or a salt, a stereoisomer, a hydrate, or a solvate thereof for the treatment of B-bradykinin receptor mediated angioedema. Use of a composition containing a 8-(heteroarylmethoxy)quinolone compound, a 8-(arylmethoxy)quinoline compound, or a salt, a stereoisomer, a hydrate, or a solvate thereof for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment and/or prevention of a B-bradykinin receptor mediated angioedema.
