Abstract:

A method for providing access to mainframe data objects in a heterogeneous computing environment includes providing, by a non-mainframe server, a service comprising a storage virtualization system for storing mainframe data in a virtual storage device. The mainframe data is managed by a mainframe server, which is connected to a physical storage device and to the server so that the virtual storage device in the storage virtualization system appears as another physical storage device to the mainframe server. The method includes receiving, by the server, a message from a non-mainframe client connected to the server via a network, wherein the virtual storage device appears as a mounted storage drive to the client, and the message includes a request for access to the mounted storage drive and/or to data stored therein. The request is processed to generate a non-mainframe formatted request result, which is transmitted to the client via the network.

Abstract:

The present invention contemplates an easy-to-use, cost-efficient, and flexible travel booking service and travel management platform. The travel booking service is a unique, subscription-based service that offers subscribers access to the fullest extent of travel service suppliers and also the lowest possible price. The travel management platform allows users to complete all steps of searching for and booking travel arrangements through the convenience of email. Once booked, travel arrangements are automatically calendared into the user's calendar. Optional plug-ins allow the user to filter search results based on existing calendar commitments, receive notifications when new calendar entries conflict with travel arrangements, and make travel arrangements directly through the user's calendar application rather than email.

Various embodiments described herein provide for a distributed data collection system. In particular, some embodiments associate a workflow with a workflow identifier, wherein the workflow comprises a set of interactive forms, cause display of a set of workflow identifiers that include the workflow identifier at a first client device, receive a selection of the workflow identifier from among the set of workflow identifier from the first client device, cause display of a first interactive form associated with the workflow at the first client device and at a second client device in response to receiving the selection, receive a response to the first interactive form from the second client device, identify a document from a document library based on the response to the first interactive form, and distribute the document to the second client device.

Abstract:

Various embodiments provide for data object collection, management, tracking, or control with a blockchain. In particular, some embodiments collect, manage, track, or control one or more data objects between two or more nodes, where each node is associated with a particular user and each particular user controls their respective data objects through their associated node. A node associated with a particular user can effectively serve as a computer container for storing data objects associated with the particular user, and further for supporting one or more functions (e.g., collection, management, tracking, or control functions) with respect to the data objects associated with the particular user.
