  • Multiple Component Mixing And Dispensing System

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20010046181, Nov 29, 2001
  • Filed:
    Feb 2, 2001
  • Appl. No.:
    09/776615
  • Inventors:
William Paetow - Pinckney MI, US
Carl Schultz - Plymouth MI, US
  • International Classification:
    B01F015/02
  • US Classification:
    366/177100, 366/181800
  • Abstract:
An apparatus for mixing a plurality of fluids to form a mixture of predetermined mixture ratios. The fluids are mixed from a plurality of sources, wherein the ratios are controlled by metering cylinders, and each cylinder is in fluid communication with a single fluid source. Each metering cylinder is operated by a corresponding lever, wherein each lever provides individual control over the stroke of each corresponding metering cylinder. The levers are connected to a single actuator for movement in unison, and for greater control in delivering and maintaining the desired mixture ratios of fluids to a receiving chamber.
  • Viscous Material Dispense System

    view source
  • US Patent:
    60624922, May 16, 2000
  • Filed:
    Aug 21, 1998
  • Appl. No.:
    9/138279
  • Inventors:
Thomas R. Tudor - Westland MI
William C. Paetow - Pinckney MI
  • Assignee:
Sealant Equipment & Engineering, Inc. - Plymouth MI
  • International Classification:
    B05B 128
  • US Classification:
    239296
  • Abstract:
A viscous material dispense system including a dispense valve having an outlet, a mix tube secured at an upper end thereof to the outlet of the dispense valve, a mixer shroud positioned telescopically over the mix tube and including a conical lower end, and an air shroud fitted telescopically over the lower end of the mixer shroud and defining a conical surface positioned in confronting relation to the conical tip portion of the mixer shroud. The air shroud and the lower end of the mixer shroud coact to define a plurality of circumferentially spaced axially extending flutes extending downwardly between the outer surface of the mixer shroud and the inner surface of the air shroud and a plurality of circumferentially spaced radially extending flutes defined between the conical tip portion of the mixer shroud and the conical surface of the air shroud. Each radial flute communicates with a respective axial flute so that air enters proximate the upper end of the air shroud, moves downwardly between the air shroud and the mixer shroud as a series of axially spaced air streams, and thereafter moves radially inwardly between the lower end of the mixer shroud and the air shroud as a plurality of radially inwardly moving air streams which impinge upon a material bead exiting from the lower end of the mix tube to impart a swirling movement to the bead.

Sealant Equipment & Engineering, Inc. - Oak Park MI
  • International Classification:
    B05B 100
  • US Classification:
    222145
  • Abstract:
A gun for dynamic mixing and discharging of a chemical mixture, such as a sealant, includes a mixing chamber with a motor-driven spindle mounted for rotation within the mixing chamber and a discharge outlet from the mixing chamber. A disposable mixing chamber liner is insertable within the mixing chamber and sealingly engageable with the gun. A disposable mixing paddle is releasably engageable with the spindle for rotation within the mixing chamber.

  • International Classification:
    B67D 562
  • US Classification:
    2221462
  • Abstract:
A manifold for a double acting metering cylinder having a fluid tight reciprocal piston forming a pair of expandable and retractable chambers, the manifold having a housing with passageways therein and directional valves to selectively deliver fluid material to the first chamber while delivering fluid material away from the second chamber during a forward stroke of the piston and delivering fluid material to the second chamber while delivering fluid material away from the first chamber during a return stroke of the piston.
  • Dispense Valve With Disposable Fluid Body

  • US Patent:
    20200261928, Aug 20, 2020
  • Filed:
    Oct 30, 2018
  • Appl. No.:
    16/758444
  • Inventors:
    - WESTLAKE OH, US
William C. Paetow - Pinckney MI, US
    Jerry R. V - Westland MI, US
David W. Groat - Westland MI, US
  • International Classification:
    B05B 1/30
  • Abstract:
A dispense valve assembly for selectively providing fluid to a nozzle from a cartridge of a dispensing apparatus is disclosed. The dispense valve assembly includes a dispense valve including a valve rod and a dispense valve actuator for actuating the valve rod, as well as a component assembly that includes a valve housing and a nozzle adapter. The valve housing defines a proximal end for releasably attaching to the dispense valve, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and an angled extension defining an inlet. The dispense valve assembly also includes a nozzle adapter defining a proximal end for attaching to the distal end of the valve housing and a distal end opposite the proximal end. The dispense valve assembly also includes a nozzle releasably attached to the distal end of the nozzle adapter. The valve housing can be disposed after a single use.
