Abstract:
A method of controlling paper stock fault recovery in an image reproduction system for producing a print job from electronic data in accordance with job requirements calling for a desired stock having one or more selected stock attributes, the system including an interactive user interface enabling a system user to input operating instructions to the system. A dialog is thereby provided in which the operator may query any stock tray and get a listing of those stock tray attributes which are mismatched with the print job desired stock attributes.

Abstract:
Methods, devices, and systems automatically generate electronic images of the printed appearance of a multi-color image using first print processing to generate a first sample image, and using second print processing to generate a second sample image. Pixels in the first sample image and the second sample image are compared to a color standard to generate a first error value and a second error value. The first error value is compared to the second error value for each pixel to produce an error value reduction associated with the second print processing for each pixel of the multi-color image. The error value reduction for each pixel of the multi-color image is compared to a threshold to identify benefited pixels. The benefited pixels can be displayed on a contrasting background, and/or the electronic image can be automatically printed using the second print processing if the benefited pixels exceed a minimum value.

Abstract:
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for printing a spot color proof are disclosed. For example, the method includes receiving a request to print a print job, determining one or more spot colors in the print job, translating the one or more spot colors into a respective color value of a color model used by a printer that is selected to print the print job, generating the spot color proof that includes a patch of each one of the one or more spot colors printed in the respective color value and the respective color value, and printing the spot color proof.

Abstract:
Method, system, and graphical user interface for enabling optimal;colorant job programming. A graphical user interface displays a plurality of gamut mode selectable features. One or more of the gamut mode selectable features can be selected for image processing of an image. A graphical image can be displayed within the next of the user interface based on image processing of the image, and in response to selection of a gamut mode selectable feature. The resulting displayed graphical image with the user interface can demonstrate to a user the benefit of utilizing additional colorant on the image particular pixels in the graphical image, which can benefit from the additional colorant.
