Abstract:

Disclosed are male condom urinary catheters, methods for using the same and kits including instructions for mounting the catheters on a penis. The catheter has an interior surface and includes a thin cylindrical sheath of elastic material, an outlet configured for connection with a urine collection device, and a neck coupled between the sheath and the outlet. The instructions include coupling a vacuum source to the catheter, placing a circumferential portion the interior surface of the catheter proximate to a head of the penis, and applying a vacuum to the catheter sufficient to draw the circumferential portion of the catheter interior against the head of the penis. The instructions also include unrolling the catheter sheath rolls onto the penis, and releasing the vacuum. A treatment for male urinary dysfunction that includes wearing a sleeper catheter on a penis, and maintaining a substantially airtight closure of the sleeper catheter with the penis inside the catheter for an effective time.

Abstract:

A high speed dowel hole drilling machine is provided, comprising a machine tool selected from several different high speed rotary machine tools, said machine tool rotating a drilling element at speeds between about 5,000 RPM and 30,000 RPM, and preferably at speeds from 20,000 RPM to 30,000 RPM, a reciprocally translatable work table for slidably supporting a workpiece to be drilled, and a tool plate for mounting the machine tool adjacent the work table such that the workpiece can be translated toward and away from the drilling element of the machine tool mounted on the tool plate. An adaptor plate having plural sets of tool mounting holes provides means for mounting several different rotary machine tools on the tool plate, allowing conventional pre-owned machine tools to be used with the invention.

Abstract:

A male external catheter attachment assembly incorporating vacuum or reduced pressure producing means to aid in installation and retention of the assembly in place. Reduced pressure is applied interiorly within a rigid catheter sleeve and a thin elastomeric sheath which in turn covers and applies the reduced pressure to the penis of the wearer while such is maintained within the catheter sleeve both during installation and during use. An optional centering ring surrounds an intermediate portion of the sheath. Optionally, also, the vacuum or reduced pressure producing means can in valved communication with the interior of the catheter sleeve outlet and the drainage tube, and can be removable from the assembly when not in use.

Abstract:

A new and improved male external catheter with vacuum assist for providing a device that can be incorporated onto any male patient without worry of leaking or discomfort. The device having a catheter with a rolled up ring thereattached for securement around a male's organ and an elongated hollow extension thereattached. The elongated hollow extension has a plurality of annular grooves thereon. A plastic tube removably receives the catheter therein. The rolled up ring of the catheter optionally rolls atop the plastic for application to a user. A rubber bulb is secured to the plastic tube. The rubber bulb functions as a vacuum for the user.
