Cleveland Chapter of The American Institute of Architects
In March of 1983, The Cleveland Chapter of The American Institue of Architects recognized Ronald B. Sarstedt, A.I.A. for exceptional accomplishment in the area of preservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, and maintenance of an architecturally significant building. Further, two facts relating to this commission are worth presenting. First, it was the first building in The City of Cleveland to utilize the Historic Tax Credit portion of The Economic Recovery Act of 1981 and two, it was used as the building model for revising the renovation & historic property chapter of The Ohio Building Code.

At the Annual Design Celebration held Friday November 18, 2011, The Cleveland Chapter of The American Institute of Architects recognized Elements an architects studio llc, guided by Ronald B. Sarstedt, A.I.A. for achievement of excellance in architectural design for a yet to be built home in the Ohio City Neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. The selection Jury was composed of a group of distinguihed San Francisco architects including Gregory Mottola, Olle Lundberg, Daniel Piechota, Mary Griffin, and Joshua Aidlin.
