Ron has a wide variety of experiences from business to education. He worked in Houston, Texas for a successful entrepreneur in the computer software/management business (inventory control, accounting, payroll, and service management). The entrepreneur eventually bought out the major competitor—Reynolds and Reynolds, located in Dayton, Ohio. Ron later started his own firm as a small business specialist working with small start up businesses primarily in Texas as well as in Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and Virginia. Currently, he is a partner with Bolender Initiatives, LLC. See http://www.bolenderinitiatives... for more information. In education, he was the Executive Director for the non-traditional business program at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and launched the first off-site campus for Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 1995. Later, he became a Professor of Organizational Leadership and worked in the online initiative. In addition to teaching for Mount Vernon Nazarene University, he teaches online courses for Argosy University, Ashford University, and DeVry University. In 2009, he received a national award for Excellence in Teaching from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) at The University of Texas at Austin. One of his side interests is the study of the architectural works of Frank Lloyd Wright. He has had several photos of Wright’s works published throughout the world, including The National Geographic Traveler. This interest led to a working relationship with the Schnormeier Gardens where he is the web master for www.schnormeiergardens.org.
