This invention is a tilted rotating table designed for exercise and recreation. The table is free to rotate either in the clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The table has a fixed tilt from the horizontal and is mounted on bearings. In the drawing, FIGS. and show a human shape standing on the table and rotating counterclockwise when viewed from above. Each figure in sequence shows the human shape rotated 90 degrees from the previous figure with FIG. rotated 90 degrees from FIG. thus showing the ability for continuous rotation. The table is hollow and has a port for the addition or subtraction of weight, such as sand. The added weight increases the momentum or “flywheel effect” of the table. The result is a table that is easier to stand on, spins longer, and becomes more stable.
Helical Screw Expander For Power Production From Solar, Geothermal, And Industrial Processes
The current design relates back to a twin-screw supercharger invented in the 1930's by Mr. Alf Lysholm who was then Chief Engineer of SRM (Svenska Rotor Maskiner AB) and the design of an expander with specific application objectives that resulted in two patents (U.S. Pat. No. 3,751,673 issued Aug. 7, 1973 and U.S. Pat. No. 3,977,818 issued Aug. 31, 1976). The present design departs from helical rotors used in all prior designs. The present design is more suitable for use as an engine (prime move) for use with lower temperature geothermal hot (warm) waters and brines, waters and brines found in solar salt gradient ponds, and other industrial applications. Thermodynamically speaking, the path through the engine causes isentropic expansion from the saturated liquid line.
A helical screw expander for deriving energy from geothermally heated water. The expander includes a pair of helical rotors with helical structures fitted in an expansion chamber. The geothermally heated water is introduced into said chamber through a throttle port located at an end face of the expansion chamber, whereby precipitation which occurs as a consequence of reduction of pressure and temperature is formed in the expansion chamber where the helical rotors dispose of it. The throttle is preferably adjustable, and also preferably forms a substantially isentropic converging nozzle which discharges fluid at the helical structures.
