It enables us to detect anatomical abnormalities like extra canals or minute cracks in the canal system. The image seen by the treating endodontist can be transmitted digitally to a monitor, allowing both doctor and patient to take an active role in their own care and enables the doctor to diagnose cracked teeth or fillings and calcified canals.
