Abstract:
An exercise system comprising a main subassembly having a rounded conically shaped tip, a rounded upper surface and a flattened recessed lower surface. The main subassembly has a cantilever beam. The main subassembly has a hinge. Next provided is a lower subassembly. The lower subassembly has a slot with a plurality of recesses. The lower subassembly has a hinge to couple with the hinge of the main subassembly. Next provided is an adjustment subassembly having a dome and a locking pin. The adjustment subassembly allows the user to loosen and lock the dome to thereby alter the resistance to movement. Next provided is a bellows with a nipple. Next provided is a cycle counter and resistance feedback mechanism subassembly with a pneumatic actuator and counter device. Lastly provided is a flexible tube coupling the bellows and the actuator for the transmission of the pneumatic force from the bellows to the actuator.
A pelvic muscle strengthening device has a conical body with a hollow interior with an interior and an exterior surface. An end cap has a forward face formed with a threaded recess. A cylindrical stud extends into the body and has a trailing end formed with threads for removable coupling with the end cap. A plurality of weights are carried by the stud. A circular central opening with slits in a cross-like configuration in the body.
A body portion fabricated of an essentially rigid material is formed of similarly configured first and second segments each shaped to include a generally spherical interior enlargement, a generally spherical exterior enlargement, an intermediate section between the enlargements, and a slit extending through the exterior enlargement and the intermediate section. The body portion pivots between a collapsed orientation with the slit at a reduced spacing and an expanded orientation with the slit at an enlarged spacing. An operational zone has a plurality of operational components. Application of a radial force to the second section by a user's external anal sphincter muscle causes axial movement of the segments to both contract and retain expanded segments and expand and retain contracted segments to reorient the system between a collapsed orientation and an expanded orientation.
Of three layers, the first layer in a rapid release composition of a plurality of thermogenic constituents is about 40 percent by weight of the system plus or minus 10 percent. The second layer in a delayed release composition of energy and thyroid stimulating constituents is about 40 percent by weight of the system plus or minus 10 percent. The third layer in a sustained release composition of fat binding and appetite suppressing constituents is 20 percent by weight of the system plus or minus 10 percent.
A forward component has a frusto-conical forward section terminating in a recess and a cylindrical rearward section terminating with male screw threads. A rearward component has a cylindrical forward section terminating with female threads and a rearward section with a cylindrical recess. A support, removably positioned within the forward and rearward components, has a frusto-conical leading region, an intermediate region, and a cylindrical trailing region. A plurality of annular weights with cylindrical apertures are positioned on the trailing region of the support.
An exercise device for strengthening the pelvic muscles of a patient including a hollow body member, a stud fastening the body member to an end cap to close the interior of the body member, and a plurality of weights removably mounted to the stud to permit the device to have different weights to provide the necessary exercise for different patients and for varying the weight of the device as the pelvic muscles of the patient strengthen.

Abstract:
An exercise device has first and second components with a hinge coupling the proximal ends of the components. The first component has a cone shaped distal region, a semi-cylindrical shaped proximal region, and a generally flat intermediate region. A recess is formed between the distal region and the proximal end. The second component has a thin disc-shaped distal region, a semi-cylindrical proximal region, and a generally flat intermediate region. The second component is positionable within the recess of the first component. An enlarged annular collar has a first half on the first component between the intermediate and proximal regions and a second half on the second component between the distal and proximal regions and has a radius of curvature greater than the radius of curvature of the proximal regions. A spring urges the first and second components into the open orientation during use.
