Moistened Tissue Dispenser With Ejection Mechanism
A device for holding and dispensing moistened tissue from a roll includes a housing having a cylindrical wall, a fixed end wall and an opposite removable end wall to allow placement of the tissue roll on an integral tubular dowel in the housing. A hinged door moves between a normally closed, sealed position and an open position to facilitate removal of individual sheets of the moistened tissue through an access opening. An air tight seal protectively encapsulates the roll within the housing when the door is closed in order to prevent drying of the moistened tissue. Pegs extending outwardly from the opposite end walls fit within congruently configured recesses of a holder for securing the housing to the holder. The pegs and recesses are keyed to prevent rotation of the housing when pulling sheets of tissue from the roll. An ejection control urges one of the pegs inwardly against a spring to release the housing from the holder to facilitate refilling of tissue when needed. In one embodiment, the holder accommodates both a roll of dry tissue and a roll of moistened tissue.

A tubular dowel, integral with an inside face of one of the end walls, extends axially through an interior of the housing for rotatably supporting the roll of tissue thereon. Pegs extending outwardly from the opposite end walls fit within congruently configured recesses of a holder for securing the housing to the holder. The pegs and recesses are keyed to prevent rotation of the housing when pulling sheets of tissue from the roll. An ejection control is provided for urging one of the pegs inwardly against a spring maintained within the tubular dowel, to thereby release the peg from the insert so that the housing can be removed from the holder for refilling of tissue when needed.
Sheets of a paper product are arranged in a compact package. Each sheet has a primary panel and at least one secondary panel. When packaged, the primary panel and one or more secondary panels are disposed in overlying relation to each other in various arrangements according to several embodiments. When each sheet is removed and separated from the package, the panels can be unfolded to enlarge the sheet. In several embodiments, the panels are separable from each other along perforated seams to selectively provide smaller individual sheets. The package may be in the form of a roll, either coreless or on a tubular core. Alternatively, the sheets may be packaged in a stacked array.
A tubular core supports a paper sheet product that is wound about the core to form a roll paper package for placement in a dispenser, wherein the tubular core is rotatably held in the dispenser to allow the paper sheet product to be pulled and separated from the roll paper package. The tubular core is defined by a firm cylindrical wall structure that extends between opposite first and second open ends. The diameter of the second open end is reduced relative to the diameter of the first open end and is sized for axial receipt of a smaller dowel peg that is unique to the dispenser. Numerous embodiments for providing the reduced diameter are disclosed.
