Abstract:

Providing context to a target minimizes the amount of information that a user must input. Context transfer pages receive context and reformat for the target. Selection of links to such pages provide context which is then reformatted and provided to the target to pre-populate information for the user. A return link can be specified to enable the target to return further context upon user interaction completion. The return link can specify further context transfer pages which can use the returned context to direct the performance of convenience actions, including invoking other applications on the user's computing device and entering information into them. The context transfer pages can themselves collect information from the user to provide appropriate interfaces without requiring resource investment from the target.

Systems and methods for responding to an audio query are presented. More particularly, vocalization nuances of a vocalized search query (audio query) are identified are utilized in responding to the audio query. In addition to converting the audio query to a textual representation, vocalization nuances of the audio query are identified. Search results are identified according to the textual representation of the audio query and in light of the vocalization nuances. A search results presentation is prepared in response to the audio query, where the search results presentation is based on the identified search results and also based on the vocalization nuances. The search results presentation is returned in response to the audio query.

Architecture that enables users to contribute their knowledge and add content to entities in a search context. The architecture provides the capability for users to add content to entities in a search context, display the knowledge assimilated from a user base for entities in a search context, validate (algorithmic, editorial or crowd-based) user-generated content to ensure correctness and filter spam, and rank the user-generated facts (whether algorithmic or crowd-sourced) to display most relevant facts in the user interface (as part of the user experience (UX)). To address user motivation and provide incentives, users can be given rewards (e.g., points, recognition, etc.) for a validated submission.
