A method for converting text characters from a Standard Generalized Markup Language file into another specified language using a CONVERSTR variable, a HTMLCODE variable and a VAL variable, wherein each character represents a tag or text, and each tag has a start and an end, which includes the steps of (a) reading a character from the file, (b) determining whether the read character is the start of a tag, (c) adding the read character to the CONVERTSTR variable when the read character is not the start of a tag, (d) repeating steps (a), (b) and (c) for a next character until a read character is the start of a tag, (e) converting the CONVERTSTR variable into the specified language, and (f) adding the converted CONVERTSTR variable to the HTMLCODE variable.

A screen controller for providing the display of images on a computer display in a programmatic manner, the images in one example originating from web sites of the Internet providing real time images from web cameras. In one embodiment, a method for displaying images on a display provides a user with one or more web sites to select, each web site having an image therein. The user's selection of the one or more web sites are stored, and the user is provided with a control to specify a time range during which each image of each web site is to be accessed. During the time range specified, the web site is accessed to obtain the image, and the image is displayed on the display.

A system and process for providing instant translations of verbal communications is provided. The present invention provides mobile translation capabilities to any Person at any location. In one embodiment, the system utilizes a first device and a second device, each device being utilized by a Person to communicate and receive translated verbal communications. Each device includes an input device for receiving a verbal communication, a database containing software and algorithms utilized to translate the verbal communication from a first language into a second language, a processor for implementing the software, an output device for presenting a translated verbal communication to a Person and a communications link for transmitting verbal communications from one Person's device to a second Person's device for translation and presentation to the other Person. Additional embodiments are provided in which a single processor device is connected to a remote receiving device or a second output device.
A system providing hotel or other accommodation guest services on-line in a guest room. The system includes one or more guest client devices located in the guest room and connected to a server. One or more service client devices also connected with the server are located throughout the hotel in the various service areas of the hotel and elsewhere. The various on-line services provided by the system, such as the ability to order room service, schedule wake-up calls, request house keeping, access on-line gambling, and others, are displayed on the guest client device. When a guest requests one of the on-line guest services, the request is displayed on the appropriate service client device associated with the request.

Abstract:
A system for presenting separate audio and/or video signals to multiple occupants or groupings of occupants in an automobile is provided. The system includes an input mixer which is utilized to receive signals from a plurality of sources. The signals may include audio, video, graphical, textual, GPS and other signals. The sources may include cassette tape decks, compact disc drives, digital versatile disc players, radio frequency broadcasts, satellite signals and wireless communications signals. The system also includes a multi-channel receiver and amplifier which simultaneously receives and amplifies a plurality of signals. An output mixer also provides specificity as to the output ports upon which a given received and amplified channel is provided to an output device. Output devices include speakers, headphones, and video displays. In an alternative embodiment, a transmitter is provided for transmitting output signals over radio frequencies to wireless headphones and similar devices.
