Foreign automakers taken to task in China over dealers' bloated inventories
BMW China head Karsten Engel said in an interview last month that the luxury carmaker had "listened" to dealers saying stockpiles were building up, and that it had started "reducing wholesale supplies".
"For this year I expect a low double-digit growth in consideration of the current base," Karsten Engel, CEO of BMWgroup region China said in the statement. "Given that sales of BMW brand has exceeded 350,000 units in 2013 10% or aslightly higher growth this year would be a very satisfactory level.
