In Garza County, investigators on Monday believed the 50,000-acre Killough Fire that began Saturday afternoon north of Post likely was man made, though it was not clear if it was intentionally set, said Justin Musgraves, regional fire coordinator with the Texas Forest Service.
That fire started about 3 p.m. and had threatened four structures and scorched a swath of grassland at least 12 miles long and 1/2-mile wide by 9 p.m. Saturday, said Justin Musgraves, regional fire coordinator with the Texas Forest Service.
