Abstract:

The present teachings relate to a device configured to secure an instrument and to be removably mounted to a platform. The device can comprise a mounting base platform, a guide rod plate, and a securing means. The guide rod plate can be slidably secured to the mounting base platform, and the securing means can be configured to slidably move the guide rod plate with respect to the mounting base platform. The device can secure an instrument within, for example a firearm or a scope. The device can be mounted to a platform, for example, a camera tripod.

Abstract:

Provided is a leg retention clip for a leg of a tripod and a tripod assembly that includes the leg retention clip. The leg retention clip can be inserted inside a hollow-out inside of a first leg section with slots/holes which output protruding edges of the leg retention clip. When a second leg section is fitted over the first leg section, the protruding edges of the leg retention clip can stop movement of the second leg section and help lock the second leg section in place with respect to the first leg section. If the leg of the tripod includes more than two leg sections, the leg can be provided with multiple leg retention clips.

Abstract:

Provided is a compressible cam lever that has a section that can be compressed by external force. When the external force is released, elastic force within the cam lever causes the section to return back to its original position creating a spring force. The compressible cam lever may be used as part of a handle for opening and closing a clamp that is part of a tripod or other piece of equipment which can hold rails for firearms, sights, scopes, parts, and the like, therein. The compressible cam lever may include a handle, a round-shaped section comprising a flexible curved surface that curves back towards the handle and protrudes outward, and an opening disposed between an end of the flexible curved surface and the handle.

Provided is a clamp that can be attached to a tripod or other piece of equipment and which can hold rails for firearms, sights, scopes, parts, and the like, therein. The clamp is self-adjusting due to a compressible cam lever that enables an amount of give or play when clamping onto a rail or other object. The clamp also includes a scroll gear assembly that enables the compressible cam lever to drive opposing jaw plates toward and away from each other thereby clamping and releasing rails and other objects.
