Abstract:
An aftertreatment exhaust assembly includes housing sections separable from each other at a service joint axially between axial ends of an aftertreatment element for ease of servicing. The aftertreatment element has an axial end within a housing section saving axial extension space.

Abstract:
An ultra-compact combination exhaust muffler and aftertreatment element and water trap assembly provides exhaust flow through an aftertreatment element surrounded by an annular water collection space receiving water diverted and shed from an upper dome cap above the aftertreatment element and below the upper outlet. In a further embodiment, the assembly includes housing sections separable from each other at a service joint axially between axial ends of the aftertreatment element for ease of servicing. In a further aspect, the aftertreatment element has an axial end within a housing section saving axial extension space.

Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method for measuring static pressure in a warm gas flow while minimizing particulate deposit formation includes a housing containing the flow of gas, a pressure sensor, and a heated pressure sampling tube attached to the sensor, with the tube sampling the gas flow. The heated sampling tube reduces the temperature gradient between the gas and the tube, reducing thermophoretic forces that contribute to deposit formation. The sampling tube extends through the housing into the gas flow in one embodiment, enabling the gas to heat the tube and locating the open end of the tube in a higher-flow area of the gas, further reducing deposit formation.

Abstract:
A water drainage assembly for an aftertreatment system comprises a first tube structured to be coupled to an outlet conduit of the aftertreatment system and has a first cross-sectional width. A second tube is disposed radially around the first tube. A first end of the second tube is coupled to a radially outer surface of the first tube. A portion of the second tube has a second cross-sectional width larger than the first cross-sectional width such that a volume is defined between the first and second tubes. A drain port is defined in the second tube proximate to the first end. The assembly is structured such that water flowing into the water drainage assembly flows into the volume defined between the first tube and the second tube and is expelled therefrom via the drain port.
