Hello I am James Smykowski, I have been an electrician since 1980. I started out started out as an apprentice and completed a four year I.B.E.W. Local #38 apprenticeship scoring very highly in my class and graduating in 1984. I have worked in residential, commercial and industrial jobs throughout my career. During that time I have worked for a company called Oster Electric for twelve years and transferred over to a company called Pyramid Electric. Pyramid Electric was the new up and coming company in electrical construction in the Cleveland area. With Pyramid Electric I started out a journeyman electrician, promoted to being a job steward, moving up to a sub-foreman, to being a foreman and running work for Pyramid Electric. I left Pyramid Electric in 2000 to work as maintenance electrician at Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, Ohio. At Ford, I worked in all four facilities there; Engine Plant #2, Engine Plant #1, The Casting Plant, Aluminum Foundry as well as the Power House.
