I am a licensed Washington EL01 Journeymen Electrician, with new installations, remodeling, and maintenance skills in residential commercial and industrial electrical installations. I have a full understanding of the NEC and I am studying to get my administrator license. I am frequently asked to lead small groups of one to five people. I am good at finding or avoiding electrical problems before they happen. I understand proper load distribution, and that understanding volts will make it run, but understanding amps will keep it safe and working. I enjoy doing repair, trouble shooting, and fixing the impossible! I have a strong mechanical aptitude in what I call the Electrical and Mechanical Arts, with a do what it takes to get it done and done right attitude. I can read and understand blue prints, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams. I have worked with 12V 24V and 48V DC systems and [] single phase, [] [] three phase, and some [] systems. I can install electoral systems in MC, EMT, NMB, and THHN wire. I am good and quick at bending and installing EMT using hand or powered benders. I under stand single and three phase motors and motor starters, and I have worked with frequency drives. I have worked with big and small HVAC systems. I have installed commercial kitchens from the Hood system to the Toaster. I have a working knowledge of IBM computers and hardware and DOS, Windows, and Windows related programs. I work well with computers and people. I have installed and repaired PLC and PC driven equipment, and I have done small amount of PLC programming. I have repaired and installed looped and addressable, monitored and stand alone, fire alarm system. I understand and have installed cat3 phone systems, cat5 networks and RG57, RG59 cables TV systems. I understand menu driven programming, which is used in many smaller electronic devices. I understand intercom and clock systems, of the type found in most schools. I have excellent research skills to find the right part. And I have a working knowledge at using Milling and Machining tools. And yes I can install all types of outlets, lighting, and switches. My first two jobs involve working with repairing electrical systems in cars and then I moved on to building and installing wiring systems for the conversion of buses in class A motor coaches, These high end motor homes have 120/240 Volts AC coming in from 3 different places 12V and or 24V DC coming in from 4 different places, short cord, generators, inverters, converters, and installing 2 or 3 radios, 2 or 3 TVs, antennas for phones, CBs, TVs and radios. I design and installed the wiring and switches for all of these systems and made wiring diagrams and as-built for all this equipment and allowing it to be used simple and with ease.
