Abstract:

Provided are systems and methods for medical diagnosis. The systems and methods may identify a coherence between paired sensor data respectively measured from a first sensor attached to a head of a subject and a second sensor attached to a body part of the subject. The systems and methods may determine an amount of volition in the subject's body based on the coherence. The systems and methods may determine a diagnosis or a treatment plan for a subject based on the amount of volition. The system and methods may be used to track interaction between individuals in a clinical setting or in a social group.

Abstract:

A system captures a baby's physical characteristics taken on two or more specified days since birth and sensor input from a device capturing a rhythm produced by the baby's nervous system on at least each of those two or more specified days since birth, and identify whether the baby is at risk for neuro-developmental issues. The system may estimate stochastic trajectories for each day's sensor data and, from the stochastic trajectories, determine a maximum shift amplitude and percentage of transitions within and between regions of a Gamma plane. The system may plot the change in maximum shift amplitudes over successive days against the change in physical characteristics over those successive days, and perform a linear fit for the plot to track the neuro-development and identify risk of issues for the baby.

Abstract:

A system for measuring and monitoring physiologically relevant motion of a subject includes at least a motion sensor to measure movement of the subject and produce a series of movement data representing the movement of the subject over a period of time. The system also includes at least a biometric sensor to simultaneously measure biometrics of the subject and produce a series of biometric values of the subject over the period of time. The system is configured to determine a noise-to-signal ratio for the series of movement data as a function of biometric intervals in the series of biometric values and identify at least a portion of the series of movement data as corresponding to a physiologically relevant biorhythm. The system can be used to diagnose and monitor a disease or disorder, including a neurological disorder or a traumatic brain injury.
