Abstract:
Haptens, ligands (including antibodies), immunoassays, and test kits for detecting tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs) in samples such as tobacco products are provided. The hapten is a molecule that contains one or more structural characteristics of one or more TSNAs, and is bound to an immunogenic carrier. An antibody specific for one or more TSNAs is produced by immunizing an animal with the hapten bound to the carrier. Immunoassays and test kits using those antibodies are also provided.

Abstract:
An synthetic fiber oral flavored product includes a fibrous substrate. The fibrous substrate is made of a synthetic polyester in a typically pelletized shape imbued a carrier liquid of propylene glycol or equivalent. The carrier liquid carries a freebase synthetic nicotine, a binding agent, a textural adjustment agent and flavorants. In some examples, the fibrous substrate is heat treated and modified by heating and rapid cooling the substrate to increase the zeta potential of the fibrous substrate.

Abstract:
Smoke-able shells that are sold commercially for use in roll your own cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos may be made from smoke-able material such as leaves and homogenates and humectant. Humectant may be applied to the smoke-able material via spraying and/or addition to adhesive that is used to bond two or more layers of smoke-able materials together to form a smoke-able shell. The resulting smoke-able shells are characterized by reduced mold growth on their surface compared to the same smoke-able shells minus the humectant.

Abstract:
A vaporizer pod for use in a vaporizer is shown and described herein. The vaporizer pod defines a one-way channel therethrough, extending from a bottom end of the vaporizer pod to a top end. The vaporizer pod may include a valve disposed at the top end and a valve disposed at the bottom end, whereby the valves open the one-way channel as the user draws air through the vaporizer. The valves rest against and close a plurality of air channels to prevent the vaporizer liquid or wax from spilling out of the pod when the user is not drawing air through the vaporizer. The vaporizer pod may be reusable or disposable, whereby the reusable vaporizer pod includes a main body split into an upper and lower tube which the user may pull apart to load vaping material into the vaporizer pod. The disposable vaporizer pod includes a unitary main body.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates to an oven assembly configured for use with a personal electronic vaporizer. Some versions of the oven assembly may include features such as a base, an outer wall extending from the base, a first chamber defined by the outer wall and the base, an oven element disposed in the first chamber, a second chamber defined by the oven element, and at least one opening defined by the oven element. Some versions of oven assembly may be configured to pass heated air therethrough. Some versions of oven assembly may include features such as a heating element disposed in the chamber and configured to be electrically coupled with the vaporizer when the oven assembly is disposed in an oven receiving area of the vaporizer. The heating element may be configured to heat air within the chamber.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates to an oven assembly for use with a personal electronic vaporizer configured to receive the oven assembly and heat a medium therein. The oven assembly may include a cup for use in heating the medium. The cup may define a pocket therein with a shaft extending into the pocket from a base plate. The shaft defines a shaft channel extending from the exterior of the cup to the pocket. As air is drawn through the personal electronic vaporizer, the air travels around the exterior of the cup and into the shaft channel to enter the pocket. The medium disposed therein is heated and vaporized and carried along to the user in the stream of air after it leaves the pocket.
The disclosure relates to a personal electronic vaporizer configured to receive a selected oven assembly and heat the medium therein in accordance with a heating profile associate with the selected oven assembly. The personal electronic vaporizer may define a pathway entirely surrounded by a material. The material is preferably an inert material such as glass or a material otherwise desirable to channel the vapors emitted by the heated medium to the user. The user may swap or select a different oven assembly associated with a different heating profile. The first oven assembly is thereafter removed from the personal electronic vaporizer and replaced with the newly selected oven assembly. The personal electronic vaporizer may automatically recognize the particular selected oven assembly and heat the substance therein according to a predefined heating profile associate with the oven assembly.

Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a check valve may be utilized to transfer E-liquid from a storage container into an electronic vaporization device, such that unintended leakage of the E-liquid may not occur. An apparatus comprising a check valve, wherein the apparatus is pre-loaded with E-liquid, may be used to dispense liquid into an electronic vaporization device.
